When 9/11 happened and Bush flew back to DC from Florida, the Marine One helicopter landed at MCAS Beaufort, SC and stayed overnight in the MALS-31 hangar. I was the night shift watch commander for the MP shift on duty and went and got to see it and talk to the guys from HMX that were guarding it. I wasn’t allowed to go in it or even too close to it. One of the day shift MPs got chewed out because he reported they were landing over an unsecured radio channel (which our dispatch frequency was at the time), nobody knew they were coming. Such a crazy time. It will be good to get a real President back in the Oval Office in November, can’t wait to see Trump boarding her once more.

It was clearly the American Airlines pilot fault for this almost accident, for missing her right turn and almost causing a sequel to the Tenerife incident

You never want to hear “oh shit” in any type of job. I use to work in the operating room at a large hospital and “oh shit”, meant this will not be a good day and to start praying for a successful patient outcome to the issue. I was able to help save many patient’s lives because I prayed a lot and knew how to make split second decisions to save lives.

I would have loved to hear the instruction that was given. I was sure this was going to be a total disaster. The passenger appeared to be in a total panic and couldn't communicate effectively. I'm amazed. I just started flight simming a little while ago and I think I failed my first 10-20 landings before I started getting the hang of it. Landing on the front of the runway and stopping the plane so quickly on the first try is an absolute miracle.

Shouldn't have ever happened. First of all, it's the tower that did it. Second, they coordinate this all the time, somebody miscommunicated. Third of all, the President can order relaxed rules for this crap, as others before have done, but typical Biden fashion, he dgaf.

False. He DOES have a lot of ideas how to fly the plane. He knows what a transponder is, he knows what a heading is, he knows many of the gauges, he knows his altitude, he knows his descent rate, he knows how to put frequencies into the radio. He is definitely not a complete beginner. He knows a whole lot.

Everyone has played flight simulators so it’s not that hard these days anymore to take controls.

Over 10 minutes from the moment they landed until the guy finally got medical attention. It's a human life we're talking about, you can't tell me they had to wait for other planes.
